CHANGSHA, China, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Iranrecorded its fourth win in a row at the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship here on Sunday after blowing out Hong Kong, China 111-56.
Hong Kong, China was able to stay within striking distance of Iran in the first quarter. However, Iran picked things up in the second period and never looked back as Hong Kong, China scored only four points in that quarter.
Five Iran players scored in double-figures. Mohammad Jamshidi led the winning side with a match-high 22 points while Samad Nikkhah Bahrami took 15 in 18 minutes.
Lee Ki, Chan Siu-Wing and Duncan Reid combined for 46 of the 56 points Hong Kong, China scored.
Iran, who is expected to sweep Group E and march on unfettered into the quarterfinals, will play against the Philippineson Monday, which will be a rematch of the 2013 final.
