A series of aerial shots of the city of Shenzhen was taken to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZs) in South China's Guangdong province on August 25, 2015.
Former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping mapped out the area of Shenzhen in the 1970s and designated it as a special economic zone on August 26, 1980. In this way, Shenzhen transformed from a tiny fishing village to China's first and one of the most successful special economic zones.
At present, this young metropolis in South China continues to grow rapidly.
