These dogs in the pictures are the toughest dogs in Britain. They were trained to protect their owner in the face of danger and to stop a burglar with one nasty bite.
The ferocious canines have been sold to VIP clients including Premier League footballers and foreign dignitaries and retail for upwards of £20,000 ($31,200), according to Daily Mail.
Professional dog trainers Robert Dye, 30, and Leedor Borlant, 25, own a dog training company called Protection Dogs UK . They train the dogs and ensure the animals are fighting fit, but also safe to handle before they are sold.
The Bradford-based duo travel around the world in their search for guard dog perfection and have sourced animals from everywhere from Serbia and Czech Republic to American and Russia.
Leedor said: 'Sourcing our dogs is a difficult thing to do - it's all about the temperament of the dogs and their pedigree.”
'We might see 100 dogs and only come back with one. We don't look for vicious dogs or aggressive dogs - we want strong stable dogs,' the newspaper quoted him as saying.
