Li Xiaolin, the former chairman of China Power International Development, has been appointed deputy general manager of China Datang Corporation, according to the website of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
The Commission's Deputy Director Liu Qiang announced that they made the decision based on Li's ability and job experiences.
Li, the daughter of former premier Li Peng, has a strong political background and is knowledgeable in the power industry, Liu added.
