Thousands of students stay overnight in stadium to avoid summer heat

Thousands of students in Central China Normal University in Wuhan, Hubei province stay overnight in the university 's stadium where air-condition was turned on to avoid summer heat on June 29, 2015. The maximum air temperature of Wuhan reached 35 degree centigrade that day. It’s said many dorms in the university had not been equipped with air condition.

Student in Guangdong rewarded with apartment for scoring highest marks in college entrance exam

Qi Wenjie, the top scorer of the college entrance exam in Enping, Guangdong province, is rewarded with an apartment worth 500,000 yuan by a local company. Other students who did well in the exam also got prize money of 50,000 or 30,000 yuan.

Woman threatens to jump off the building with her daughter to force her husband into divorce

On June 29, 2015, a woman who climbed to the 13th floor of a high-rise building with her 2-year-old daughter threatens to jump off the building in Guilin, south China’s Guangxi. The woman said to the rescuers in tears that her husband was addicted to gambling and often beat her. She would not come down unless she can divorce her husband on the spot. At last the woman climbed back into the room after the staff of the civil affairs bureau came to help her and her husband sign divorce papers.

97-year- old "stock market wizard'

A 97-year- old man in Hangzhou sold out his stocks before the stock market plummeted on June 19 and June 28. He was thus named the “stock market wizard” by local people. He said that the reason why he invests in stocks is that he must uses his brain when analyzing the market, which helps prevent senile dementia.
