Beijing police are investigating the cause of a skyscraper's broken windows, believed to be the result of gunfire, the Beijing News reported.
Junefield Plaza, located near Xuanwumen Subway Station, has sustained cracks to its windows on the 15th to 17th floors, more than 70 meters above ground.
In one office on the 16th floor, a hole in the glass is about one centimeter in diameter, and there are also much longer cracks. Windows on the 17th floor are more severely damaged.
In the direction the broken windows face, there are no high buildings for hundreds of meters, the report said.
The property management company said four window panes were broken in three days, and broken glass was found on the ground, the Beijing Times also reported.
