The Chinese leaders' visits to Brazil have promoted the bilateral cooperation and strengthened China's cooperation with Latin American and the Caribbean countries.

China has played a crucial role in infrastructure upgrading in Brazil and other Latin American countries; the Pacific-Atlantic railroad project is expected to benefit Latin American countries including Brazil, according to Rousseff. She hopes to see more cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of fields.

Rousseff said that China is an ancient civilization with more than 5,000 years of history and China's experience in development is worth learning. She said that she has an intense interest in Chinese culture and believes that Chinese will become an international language, adding that China will see a growing influence

People's Daily will help implement the consensus reached by the leaders of China and Brazil and make efforts to consolidate public support for bilateral ties, said Yang Zhenwu.
