In Australia, there is a beautiful Tasmanian town which enjoys the reputation of “the Town of Murals”. That is Sheffield. For 25 years, the pictorial history of the place has been painted on nearly every blank wall throughout the town. Each year, Sheffield attracts over 200,000 visitors from all over the world.
In 2007, Chinese singer Eason Chan came here and painted a mural, which depicted he climbed the Cradle Mountain alone. He also wrote words “Just Leave Me” on the painting. After that, Sheffield is getting increasingly prevalent among Chinese tourists. Nearly 10 years passed, Eason’s mural hasn’t be changed, although murals displayed in Mural Park are different every year.
