SYDNEY, Dec 4 (People's Daily Online) -- Rounding off an historic month for China-Australia ties, Dominic Perrottet, NSW State Minister for Finance and Services, announced the official countdown to the inaugural China Australia Millennial Project (CAMP) at a corporate event hosted by UBS in Sydney on Dec 3.

"As we move into the Asian Century, it is more important than ever to equip our young leaders with the skills and connections they need to thrive in a globalized world," said Mr Perrottet. "This is a phenomenal opportunity for the delegates who will benefit from first class mentoring, developing new ideas and also of course enjoying the many cultural attractions of Sydney, like the Vivid Festival & the BridgeClimb."

Andrea Myles, the Co-Founder and CEO of CAMP, also a 2014 winner of the AFR and Westpac's 100 Women of Influence introduced that the China Australia Millennial Project was conceived to ignite the idea of China in the hearts and minds of young smart Australia and encourage young smart China to get to know us better.

"We are connecting our top talent with the biggest economic powerhouse as it makes it ascendency, and giving them the China skills, trusted networks and understanding which will turbo-charge Australia's future," she said.

CAMP will unite the very best of young Australian and Chinese imagination, drawing delegates from both nations for a 3 month online incubator which will culminate in a 5-day summit during the Vivid Sydney festival in June 2015.

CAMP is backed by funding from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Australia China Council, and was launched in Shanghai in September by Mike Baird, Premier of NSW.
