Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a vast elevated plateau in southwest China. With an average elevation exceeding 4,500 meters, the plateau is sometimes called "the Roof of the World" because it is the world's highest and largest plateau. Due to high altitude anoxia and awful weather there, the plateau is almost inaccessible. The plateau has become a favorite destination for travelers, explorers and photographers.
