ZHENGZHOU, Nov. 6 -- A senior higher court official and a vice mayor in central China's Henan Province are being investigated for suspected serious violations of law and discipline.
The two in question are Li Changgeng, member of the Communist Party of China's branch of the Henan Higher People's Court, and Zhou Liangeng, vice mayor of Kaifeng City, the provincial Party discipline inspection commission disclosed on Thursday.
Li,57, is in charge of the higher court's discipline inspection. Zhou, 49, is also Party chief of the Kaifeng Public Security Bureau.
Last month, Qin Yuhai, deputy head of the Henan People's Congress' standing committee, was put under the spotlight for alleged "serious law and discipline violations".
