BEIJING, Oct. 24 -- Two Chinese local officials have been placed under "coercive measures" and investigated for taking bribes, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).
Huang Shaoru, vice general manager of Hainan State Farms Co., Ltd., is under investigation by the city procuratorate of Sanya in south China's Hainan Province, the SPP said in a Friday statement.
Lu Junbo, former general manager and Party chief of the Yunnan branch of China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd., is being investigated in accordance with a decision made by Yunnan provincial procuratorate.
According to China's criminal procedure law, coercive measures include summons by force, bail, house arrest, detention and arrest.
