A giant white rabbit designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, who is well known for the Rubber Duck, was displayed at Taoyuan Naval Base, Taiwan on Thursday.
The rabbit is the fourth "child" of Hofman. Sticking to his usual style, he magnifies the rabbit to 25 meters tall, which reclined on an old aircraft hangar like it was lying on a huge pillow.
Hofman said he got this inspiration from the traditional Chinese legend of Chang'e and Jade Rabbit. And this was the first time that the white rabbit was exhibited.
Most of the tourists thought the rabbit is very cute, especially when placed in a place with blue sky and green grassland, which resembled Alice's Wonderland.
Most of Hofman's creations aim to arouse happiness and draw inspiration from the ordinary. The rabbit was intended for the 2014 Taoyuan Land Art Festival.
