On August 27, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, who was making a state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, arrived in Shaanxi Province and visited Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum.
At the pit, President Mugabe was deeply amazed by the Chinese nation's thousands of years of history and culture when he saw the grand Terracotta Army in formation. "It is so magnificent! It is so great!" he commented. Upon learning that these terracotta pieces were formed from clay, placed in a kiln to be roasted, and had color patterns painted on the surface, President Mugabe said, "It is just amazing!"
