BEIJING, Sept. 4 -- An advanced national examination and enrollment system for China's schools and universities will be established by 2020, according to a circular released by China's State Council on Thursday.
To reach the goal, pilot programs will begin this year, and the reform efforts will be expanded nationwide three years later, according to the circular on national examination and enrollment system reform.
The government aims for a system that will promote fairness and supervision and connect all levels and types of education, said Du Yubo, vice minister of education, at a news conference.
