Cambodian FUNCINPEC Party to Hold Congress in March
Cambodia's FUNCINPEC Party will hold its 20th anniversary congress next month, the Party's President Prince Norodom Ranariddh said Wednesday.
Some tens of thousands of party's members from various parts of the country will attend the congress, said a party member.
FUNCINPEC party, which was established by then Samdech Norodom Sihanouk in 1981, has been the coalition partner with the current ruling Cambodian People's Party since 1993.
Prince Ranariddh was elected as first prime minister of the Royal Government after the national election of 1993 sponsored by the United Nations, and now he is the president of the National Assembly.
