China's Overseas Investment Up in January
Overseas investment to China grew remarkably in January in terms of both contractual and materialized volume, latest figures from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation show.
The total number of newly approved overseas invested ventures in the country in January reached 1,629, up 14.23 percent from the same month last year. The total investment in contractual volume hit US$4.856 billion, up 40.59 percent.
The actual overseas investment was US$2.221 billion, up 21.23 percent.
The ministry said that by January, the number of overseas invested companies in China amounted to 365,974, involving a contractual overseas investment volume of US$681.575 billion. The actual overseas investment volume reached US$350.845 billion.
