Liaoning Hits New Record in Utilizing Foreign Investments
Northeast China's Liaoning Province introduced US$5.28 billion in contractual foreign investments last year, setting a 21-year record.
The figure represents a 16 percent increase over 1999, according to the Provincial Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Last year, the actual direct foreign investment in the province amounted to US$2.53 billion, up 11 percent from the previous year. Overseas companies directly invested 1,890 projects all over Liaoning.
