DPRK, S.Korea Conclude Meeting on Power Cooperation
A subcommittee under the Committee for Economic Cooperation between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and South Korea on Saturday ended its first meeting on power cooperation between the North and South.
At the meeting of the power cooperation subcommittee, which was held here on February 7-10, the two sides discussed the issue of conducting a fact-finding survey on bilateral power cooperation.
Under a bilateral agreement on economic cooperation, which was reached at the first meeting of the committee in late December, the two sides agreed to promote economic cooperation in various fields including the power industry, the relinking of railways and roads, and the prevention of flood damage in the area along the Rimjin river.
