"Sing the Same Song" to Usher in Lantern Festival
A 26-celebrity visiting group including female movie star Liu Xiaoqing from the mainland entertainment and TV industry arrived in Taiwan Thursday, February 1. Led by Tian Dan, vice chairman of the Chinese Culture Fraternal Union, the visiting elites on a tour of Taiwan will jointly cast a special program with eight Taiwan TV counterparts to mark the upcoming traditional Chinese lantern festival.
According to Tian, most of his group members are movie stars and pop singers from the CCTV. During their stay in Taiwan, they will cooperate with well-known Taiwan singers to dub a program titled "Sing the Same Song".
The special program will be one most appealing to a multitude of cross-Strait audience. People on the mainland and those in Hong Kong and on Taiwan will find the singers and songs dubbed most familiar and much to their liking to remind them of those popularly known in the past century, Tian said.
