Three people were killed outright and another 28 died of shock and heart attack in the wake of the disaster.

Fifty-one people in serious condition are hospitalized, and 488 have requested treatment for injuries, said a Health Ministry bulletin issued on Thursday.

According to the Azeri state commission for emergency situations, 73 buildings, including schools and hospitals, have been seriously damaged and 748 families need resettlement.
