One-way Charge for Mobile Phones not Feasible: MII official
One-way charge for mobile phones has turned out to be unsuccessful in the US and it's not feasible to adopt the one-way charge for mobile phones in China, said Zhang Xiaotie with the Ministry of Information Industry (MII).
After the transition from double-way to one-way charge for mobile phones in the United States, little progress has been made so far. The reasons lie on the strong opposition by fixed telephone subsidiaries and telecom businessmen’s indifferent reflection. "The double-way charge pattern can not even succeed in the United States, so the possibility to work out in China is minor", the official is quoted as saying.
