Enterprises, Universities Sign Contracts Worth of 860 Million Yuan in NE China

Enterprises and universities have signed 462 contracts worth of 860 million yuan before a cooperation fair was closed Saturday in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

The eighth fair promoting cooperation between businesses and universities has served as a go-between for 313 enterprises and 84 Universities that have signed cooperative contracts for commercial application of technology.

Enterprises have brought some 800 technique problems to the fair looking for solutions. And universities such as Beijing University and Qinghua University made public over 10,000 scientific and technological achievements during the fair.

Liaoning Province has made 26 billion yuan (3.1 billion U.S. dollars) of profits out of over 9,000 projects conducted between businesses and universities. Home to one-tenth of China's large and medium-sized State-owned enterprises, Liaoning has seen over 90 percent of its enterprises forging links with colleges and universities.
