Senior Chinese Official Meets Rwandan MinisterChinese State Councillor Wu Yi expressed her appreciation for Rwanda's pursuit of friendship with China and its adherence to the One China policy during her meeting with Andre Bumaya, minister of foreign affairs and regional cooperation of Rwanda.Wu expressed her congratulations for the signing of the bilateral economic and technological cooperation agreement during the fourth meeting of the joint economic cooperation committee between the two countries, which was jointly sponsored by Bumaya and Shi Guangsheng, minister of foreign trade and economic cooperation of China. Wu said that China and Rwanda have conducted fruitful cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, culture and health care since the two countries forged diplomatic ties 29 years ago. Bumaya said that his current visit has laid a sound basis for the further development of the bilateral relations because he has exchanged views with parties concerned of the Chinese side on the bilateral ties and issues of common concern. Rwanda thanks China for its long-time support and would like to work together with the Chinese side to push forward the friendly cooperation in various sectors, he said.
