Jiang Meets EU Trade Delegation
Chinese President Meets EU Trade Delegation
Chinese President
Jiang Zemin
met in Beijing Friday with the European Union trade delegation led by its Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy.
Lamy has just signed an agreement on China's WTO entry with Chinese Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Shi Guangsheng after a five-day negotiations.
The meeting is still going on at press time in Zhongnanhai, site of the Central government.
Among those present on the occasion are Chinese Vice-Premier
Qian Qichen
, State Councilor Wu Yi, Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Minister Shi Guangsheng.
