Mobile Telecom Launches Website in English
China's first English language website for mobile phone subscribers has been opened by Tianjin Mobile for its 100 or so native English-speaking customers.
The website, http://english.135-139.com , offers 66 pages of facts and figures, including an overview of the company, information on service centers, the telecom news, mobile phone technology, and a section for consumers' questions.
Customers of Tianjin Mobile can also check their phone fees and lists of calls they have made.
This is the first English website launched by a provincial level mobile telecom bureau in China.
An official with Tianjin Mobile said the company's Tianjin office plans to open a service window for English-speaking customers, particularly foreigners.
