Terra-cotta Warriors Museum Displays New Exhibits

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province recently introduced to tourists new exhibits. The cloister of the first pit was opened to the tourists for the first time to show the renovated Terra-cotta Warriors phalanx and a colored screen was erected in the second pit to show the tourists a wonderful scene like color-painted Terra-cotta Warriors.

In recent years, with the rise in the tourist heat, the world-renowned Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors has attracted more and more tourists. However, previously tourists could only see the eastern part of the phalanx in pit I. In view of this, the museum decided to open the cloister of pit I. Now, tourists can view the phalanx from different angles around the pit and can see for themselves the renovation technique and meticulous working style of the cultural relic artisans.

The color-painted Terra-cotta Warriors unearthed in the second pit last year caused a sensation in the world, however, tourists can not view their elegant demeanor in a short distance due to the limitation of visiting condition. In order to satisfy visitors' requirements, the museum invested hundreds of thousands of yuan to install a large computer-controlled colored screen in the second pit so that tourists can appreciate the bright-colored, newly-unearthed Terra-cotta Warriors, as well as the renovated stone armor and the 212-kg tripod of the Qin Dynasty.
