Business 4 Million Yuan Income Tax Turned to China's Coffer from an Entrepreneur

An entrepreneur of Beijing Yongyou Software (Group) Co. Ltd. lately turned over 4 million yuan setting the highest record of personal income tax to state coffer from the Experimental Zone of Beijing Zhongguancun Science Technology Garden.

Irrespective of a short stay since its launching, Yongyou Software has developed as one of the largest enterprise undertakings of its kind in the Experiment Zone. In face of fierce market competition, it has made a consistent effort to improve its financial software and put out new products, resulting in a steady rise of its market share in China. Compared with the same period of 1998, it has achieved an aggregate income growth of 40% and an increase of 3.01 million yuan up 100.7% of taxes it has turned to the state coffer. As it is going to be listed, Yongyou has recently allotted its accumulation from previous years among three shareholders with a new tax total of 5.60 million yuan and the largest tax amount to as many as 4 million having been turned over to the state. This shows the favorable environment that has arisen out of economic reform for the development of private economy in today's China.

With state policies to back up, hi-tech enterprises in the Experimental Zones generally operate well and are run with an increased income by their employees. Personal income taxes in the Experimental Zone had soared in 1999, amounting to 99.26 million yuan, an increase of 54% and 34.93 million yuan when compared with last year.
