Earthquake Hits Cona County of Tibet
An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale hit Cona County in southern Tibet on 0:43 am (Beijing time) January 26.
The epicenter was located at 27.8 degrees north latitude and 92.5 degrees east longitude, according to the China Seismological Bureau.
The quake area is sparsely populated. No casualties and damages have been reported so far due to poor communications.
