China Shanghai Airlines Carries More Passengers to Macao

The number of Shanghai Airlines weekly flights from Shanghai to Macao has increased from two to four, as more people are traveling between the two cities prior to the upcoming return of Macao to China.

Planes now flying the route are Boeing 757s with 200 seats, replacing the original Boeing 737s with only 136 seats in order to accommodate the increasing number of passengers.

Shanghai Airlines, which began offering direct flights from Shanghai to Macao in 1998, also tries to provide high-quality service for Taiwanese passengers who want to return to Taiwan via Macao, in cooperation with the Taiwanese Eva Airways Corp.

On this route, one hour can be saved from Macao to Taiwan compared with flying from Hong Kong to Taiwan.

Congenial service and special dishes offered by the airlines are warmly welcomed by passengers. (Xinhua)
