China Seminar on China's Peaceful Reunification Held in HK

A seminar on situations on the two sides across the Taiwan Straits was held on November 26 in Hong Kong.

Sponsored by the Hong Kong Regional China Peaceful Reunification Association, the seminar provided a forum for some noted scholars and experts to express their viewpoints on China's reunification cause.

Participants of the seminar pointed out that China's reunification is the trend of the times and the will of the people, and Lee Teng-hui's so-called "two-states" remarks will finally be spurned by history.

They urged the people from all walks of life to unite under the principle of the "one country, two systems," and make joint efforts to promote the peaceful reunification.

Attending the seminar were mainly members of the Hong Kong Regional China Peaceful Reunification Association and officials of the Xinhua News Agency Hong Kong Branch and of the Office of the Commissioner of China's Foreign Ministry in Hong Kong. (Xinhua)
