World Commonwealth Expected to Announce Declaration on Globalization

The ongoing Commonwealth summit is expected to announce on November 14 a so-called Fancourt Declaration on Globalization and People-Centered Development, official sources said.

The declaration is based on the theme of the biennial Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which began in Durban on Friday and is named after the Fancourt Estate on which they have gathered away from the public spotlight for the weekend.

The 47 heads of state will return to Durban on Sunday afternoon and the announcement is expected to be made before their departure, official sources said.
