China Chinese Vice President Confers with Slovenian Foreign Minister

Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao told Slovenian Foreign Minister Boris Frlec at a meeting on the morning of November 12 that China is willing to make concerted efforts with Slovenia to further promote and develop bilateral relations in the new century.

Hu said that bilateral relations have witnessed consistent growth in a number of areas since China and Slovenia forged diplomatic ties.

Hu appreciated the Slovenian government's stance on supporting the "one China" policy and not developing official ties or having any official contacts with Taiwan.

Frlec described Slovenia-China relations as "a model of equal, mutually beneficial co-existence" between big and small nations.

Frlec told Hu that his country is willing to expand cooperation with China in political, economic and other fields and is ready to participate in the development of China's vast central and western regions.
