Culture China's National Commodities Fair to Open in Shanghai

China's 8th National Commodities Fair is scheduled for November 10-13 in Shanghai, the country's leading industrial and commercial city.

On display will be 40,000 kinds of commodities by 1,380 domestic and overseas enterprises, including firms from the Republic of Korea.

The event, believed to be the largest consumer goods fair in China, will be co-sponsored by the State Economic and Trade Commission, the State Administration of Internal Trade, and the Shanghai municipal government.

A national conference on chain business will also be held during the fair.

China's national commodities fair was initiated in 1992, and the 7th one attracted more than 1,200 industrial and commercial enterprises and over 50,000 business people.
