Zhixing College is the first private college to be set up in Gansu Province.

The college is attached to Northwest China Normal University.

The College will cater to an increasing demand for higher education in the province and will include courses in public relations, English and computers.

About 70 percent of high school graduates in Gansu did not have the opportunities to continue their studies in colleges. (Xinhua)
