Education Exhibition on British Higher Education In East China

¡¡ More than 2,000 local visitors attended an exhibition on British higher education held recently in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province.

¡¡ Twenty-six British colleges, including Liverpool University and Bristol University participated in the exhibition offering Chinese students programs ranging from preparatory to postdoctoral education.

¡¡ Joanna Burke, the British consul in charge of culture and education, said the exhibition would further develop educational exchanges between China and Britain.

¡¡ Similar exhibitions have been held in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Burke said Jiangsu's higher education, excellent students and prosperous economy attracted British universities.

¡¡ The deputy director of the Jiangsu Education Service Center, Yu Xiaonan, said experts from notary offices and banks were invited to give consultation about studying abroad. (Xinhua)
