BEIJING, Oct. 15 -- China and India communicate closely with each other with regard to border affairs, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Tuesday.
The two countries believe in joint efforts to maintain peace along border areas, Hua told a daily press briefing
China and India want a peaceful and stable situation along border areas, Hua said, adding that China hoped to work with India to maintain peace, and not let related issues affect the development of China-India relations.
China and India held the 4th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on China-India Border Affairs from Sept. 29 to 30 in Beijing.
The two sides discussed issues of how to improve efficiency when dealing with border affairs, Hua said.
