UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 25 -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi Wednesday at UN Headquarters in New York.

Wang noted that China and AL members are fellow developing nations sharing broad common interests and aspirations, and they are facing the similar tasks of national revival, economic development and improvement of people's livelihood.
He added that China is ready to promote China-Arab cooperation with the objective to yield genuine results with joint effort.
During the talks, the two sides also discussed the Syria crisis and the Palestinian issue.
On the same day, Wang also attended the sixth ministerial conference of the Friends of Yemen Group here and stated China's position.
