BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Vice President Li Yuanchao on Wednesday met with Venezuelan Oil and Mining Minister Rafael Ramirez and Polish House of Representatives Speaker Ewa Kopacz, respectively.
During his meeting with Ramirez, Li said China and Venezuela have great potential to cooperate economically, adding that energy cooperation will be key in this endeavor.
He said the two sides need to implement existing agreements and boost China-Venezuela ties to a higher level.
Ramirez said he hopes to enhance high-level visits, expand bilateral cooperation in all fields and boost mutual benefit.
During his meeting with Kopacz, Li said China and Poland have developed increasingly strong bilateral relations since they established diplomatic ties in 1949, adding that their relations entered a new stage with the creation of a strategic partnership in 2011.
He said China is willing to work with Poland to promote cooperation between the two countries at local levels and achieve more progress in mutually beneficial cooperation.
Kopacz said Poland attaches great importance to developing relations with China and hopes to strengthen cooperation and understanding with the country.
