BEIJING, June 4, (ChinaMil) -- A task group composed of three warships from the North China Sea Fleet of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a comprehensive replenishment on June 1, 2013.
The task group is going through high-sea training in a sea area of the Western Pacific Ocean.
On the afternoon of June 1, the guided missile destroyer "Qingdao" and the guided missile frigate "Linyi", which had been sailing for seven consecutive days, received their first at-sea replenishment. The comprehensive supply ship "Hongze Lake" refueled the two warships in turn.
It is the first time for the guided missile frigate "Linyi" to complete replenishment during its voyage in an ocean since it was commissioned in late December last year.
It is learnt that after sailing into the West Pacific, in order to improve the open-sea mobile combat capability in all directions, the three warships from the North China Sea Fleet conducted drill of multiple subjects including confrontation between grouped warships, mobile interception, blockade and control in important sea areas, and anti-submarine and anti-aircraft defense successively.
