Senior Chinese legislator meets Canadian lawmakers

BEIJING, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Ping, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met with Canadian Senator Donald Plett and Wai Young, a member of the Canadian House of Commons, on Monday.

Plett and Young, who are also co-chairman and co-chairwoman of the Canada-China Parliamentary Association, respectively, are visiting China at the invitation of the China-Canada Parliamentary Association of the NPC.
