BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- More foreign leaders offered condolences to Chinese leaders on Friday and Saturday as the country continued to deal with the aftermath of a deadly earthquake in its southwestern Sichuan province.
Those offering their sympathies included Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi; Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Syrian President Bashar al-Assad; Botswanian President Ian Khama; and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
Leaders who have sent condolences also included Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; Lesotho Prime Minister Thomas Motsoahae Thabane; Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama; Vanuatu's Parliament Speaker Philip Boedoro; Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah; Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr; Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby; and Evariste Boshab, secretary general of the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
