BEIJING, April 9 (Xinhua) -- China and Cuba on Tuesday pledged to strengthen cooperation in security and law enforcement.
The agreement was made during a meeting between Meng Jianzhu, secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Fernandez Gondin, first vice minister of the interior and also a member of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee.
Meng expressed hope that security and law enforcement departments from both countries can make new contributions to developing the friendly bilateral ties and serving their national construction.
Gondin said Cuba will continue to firmly stand by China on issues concerning its core interests.
