BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held telephone talks Tuesday night with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
During their talks, the two officials exchanged views on China-U.S. relations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said that all parties concerned should use negotiations to find a solution to the complex Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.
It is the joint responsibility of all parties involved to maintain peace and stability on the peninsula, she said.
The DPRK conducted its third nuclear test on Feb. 12 despite international opposition.
