A profound interpretation of China’s image as a responsible power

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), elaborated on China’s Opening-up strategy and diplomatic policy during a meeting with foreign experts working in China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Dec. 5, 2012.

“Our course is the one that is supported by people from all over the world. And it is based on China’s opening to and win-win cooperation with the outside world,” Xi said.

The international community and public opinions have paid great attention to the meeting. They considered Xi’s speech thought-provoking and far-reaching, and spoke highly of the new look reflected in the foreign activity.

Reciprocal love brings mutual benefits

Xi’s friendly and genuine speech is a profound interpretation of China’s image as a responsible great power. In the era of economic globalization, all countries should learn from one another and draw on each other's strength, in order to achieve win-win cooperation, said B. R. Deepak, a professor of Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
