Tong Zeng, known as the "First Man of Chinese civil claims for war reparations from Japan", discloses letters written to him from victims of the Japanese aggression in January 2014.
Tens of thousands of letters have been written to condemn the brutality of the Japanese invaders and they "serve as evidence of the ugliness in Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s distorted view of history", said Tong.
Then a staff member of the national Research Center on Aging, Tong published an article on Chinese civil claims for war reparations from Japan in 1990, which evoked strong response in its readers. After that, he's been receiving visits by and letters from war victims or their families from all over the country as well as overseas. (Photo/Chinanews.com)
