A 4.9-magnitude earthquake hit Yecheng county of Kashgar Prefecture in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 3:45 a.m. Monday, according to China's national seismological network.
The epicenter, at a depth of 100 km, was located at 35.9 degrees north latitude and 77.5 degrees east longitude, the network said.
