BEIJING, July 22 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted juncture area of Minxian and Zhangxian counties, northwest China's Gansu Province, at 9:12 a.m. on Monday Beijing Time, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 14 km, was monitored at 34.6 degrees north latitude and 104.2 degrees east longitude.
