People participate in a demonstration in Istanbul on July 21, 2013. Around two thousand people carrying tables and chairs gathered on the Istiklal Avenue, staged a demonstration on Sunday to protest against the municipality's ban on outdoor sitting. The protest marks the second anniversary of the ban on July 21. In 2011 municipality officials removed the street-side tables around Beyoglu's main thoroughfare Istiklal and the upscale Cihangir neighborhood which fueled public outrage. (Xinhua/Lu Zhe)
