Food poisoning sickens 28 in E China

NINGBO, Zhejiang, May 7 (Xinhua) -- A total of 28 people were hospitalized Monday after appearing to have been poisoned by food from a noodle restaurant in the city of Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province, local authority said Tuesday.

Two of the 28 poisoned are under intensive care. Initial investigation showed the poisoning is caused by Nitrite.

The owner of the noodle restaurant, surnamed Wang, is under police custody, pending further investigation from local police and health authorities.
